The Greek word for Goodness is agathōsynē which means uprightness of heart and life, goodness, and kindness.
Goodness is defined in the dictionary as: honor, incorruptibility, irreproachability,, right-mindedness, scrupulosity, scrupulousness; appropriateness, correctness, ethics, morals rectitude, righteousness, rightness, uprightness, virtue, virtuousness.
Goodness is not a human quality that we can develop on our own, it’s a gift and we know all good gifts come from God. Goodness is a gift that is developed through Holy Spirit as a Fruit. I am fully convinced, as Apostle Paul was that you my dear brothers and sisters, are full of goodness (Romans 15:14) because you have the Fruit giver on the inside of you.
Goodness is an essential attribute of God, it’s the very essence of His nature. Moses had the pleasure of seeing God’s Goodness pass by him (Exodus 33:17-19).
God shows us an overwhelming amount of goodness and we as His children through the Spirit of adoption ought to express this same goodness to our fellow brothers and sister in Messiah, and overflowing into the world touching the hearts of the unbeliever for it’s God’s goodness that leads us to repentance and that same goodness can be expressed through us which will bring others into repentance. It’s all about us being God’s representative in the earth.
The word of God tells us that YHWH’s Goodness endures continually (Psalm 52:1), we were created in His image and likeness so therefore His goodness was imparted in us through His Holy Spirit who is the planter of the seed of Goodness that produces Fruit in and through us. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. Hallelu-YAH!!
Abba we yield to Your Holy Spirit, we submit our ways to You O Lord, help us to develop Your Fruit of Goodness within us, prune and purge us of the things that causes us to infect the Fruits of Holy Spirit on the inside of us in Jesus name. We give You thanks for Your Goodness O Lord, Abba we thank You for satisfying our longing souls, and for filling the hungry souls with Your goodness.
“I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the Lord.” Jeremiah 31:14 NKJV
