“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” ー Matthew 5:44 NIV
Jesus instructed us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. But today we see so many of us who call ourselves “Christians”, just spewing hateful better words against our persecutors, instead of praying for them.
When we do as Jesus has instructed us to do in Matthew 5:44 by loving our enemies and praying for those who persecute us we would be showing that we are true children of YHWH our Heavenly Father, and we would be demonstrating His love to those who hate us.
We are called to be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48) and it begins with our love walk.
