It seems like a lot of people are under attack from their own families right now. I have surely been through way too much of that myself and still dealing with some of it. It hurts, it cuts and it stings, but we have to keep moving forward. In many ways, our own families can be much more mean and cruel than somebody from outside. I know it is hard to deal with…when loved ones turn on us, it always takes a toll. At some point we have to say enough is enough and I think the tolerance level is different for each one of us.
Our families have a hard time dealing with it when we do not want to participate in holidays anymore and when we do not want to do things on Shabbat. To them, our new beliefs seem weird and they think we have gone off the deep end. I know it is hard to be called names and to even be cut off by your own family, but you are not alone. I am sorry to say that it will not stop there either. As you continue to grow and learn, and as you shrug off things that do not line up with YHVH’s Word, there will be others whom you have met along the way who will abandon you too.
I have lost some good friends. It never ceases to amaze me, at the small things that people will stumble over. Sometimes people move in and out of our lives just for a season. It never gets any easier. Our calling does not come without a price. I just want to encourage you to keep striving to hit the goal. Keep moving towards the Kingdom and NEVER look back. We do NOT have time to look back, only forward…with our eyes, hearts and minds firmly fixed on the Kingdom of Elohim.
Abba will ALWAYS be there no matter what else happens. Trust in that, believe in that and rest in that. May Abba bless each and every one of you who is suffering through this trial. May He bind you up, heal your wounds and give you the strength, courage and determination to keep moving forward.
“And having stretched out His hand toward His taught ones, He said, “See My mother and My brothers! “For whoever does the desire of My Father who is in the heavens is My brother and sister and mother.”
Always, seek the truth…
