Seventy five years old and Avram does not even hesitate to obey and go where Elohim tells him to go. This was NO small move for Avram and his family. He left his ancestral land and inheritance, because he believed Elohim. He did not question, he did not argue, he did not doubt, he just went. His home, his family, his possessions, his livestock…all that he had, he packed up and left for a place that he did not even know. Avram just knew that Elohim had something there for him and he trusted…and had faith.
So Aḇram left, as יהוה had commanded him, and Lot went with him. And Aḇram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Ḥaran. And Aḇram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the beings whom they had acquired in Ḥaran, and they set out for the land of Kena῾an. And they came to the land of Kena῾an. Genesis 12:4-5
What is wrong with us? What has happened to create such a cynical, sarcastic, self-serving and self-absorbed world? People do NOT stop to seriously think and contemplate life. It is precious…it is short…there is NOT much time to figure it out! Avram just did as Elohim asked him. We think we are so smart and we have things all figured out. The time is coming when Elohim will ask you to just go…have you thought about that? I mean have you REALLY thought about that?
How many of you are prepared and ready to just walk off and leave everything you have known behind? How many will hesitate and wonder if this is really the time and if they really should go? Abba is calling us to prepare and be ready…the cry is going out for those who can hear! The warning is being sounded and it is loud and clear for those who have ears! What is the difference between what Avram was asked to do and what Yeshua asked those who followed Him to do? The same faith and trust was required…the same willingness to walk away and follow wherever they were led…
And יהושע, walking by the Sea of Galil, saw two brothers, Shim῾on called Kĕpha, and Andri his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I shall make you fishers of men.” 20 And immediately they left their nets and followed Him. And going on from there, He saw two other brothers, Ya῾aqoḇ the son of Zaḇdai, and Yoḥanan his brother, in the boat with Zaḇdai their father, mending their nets. And He called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him. Matthew 4:18-22
When the time comes what will YOU do? Will YOU be Ready? Will you Obey and follow without Questions?
Always, seek the truth…
